Yeah, detoks isn't really a word, we know. SCRAWL Detoks is the name of our articles where we will update you on what is going on with the site regarding the break. I describe the word "detoks" as updates or the latest news on. Yeah, I got bored, so I made up a word. First off, we've gotten a few writer applications, with two of them I'm really looking in to.
We've also gotten an e-mail from a generous friend who is offering to help us with a much-needed site redesign. We have an early concept for when we reopen, but I'm not showing anything till we actually get it coded. You'll love it though, we know that.
If you're interested in being a writer, make sure you hit that "Write for SCRAWL" button on the sidebar.
I've been updating onAXIS and SCRAWL for a year now by myself. On this site alone, I've written 1,575 posts and I've written who knows how much more on onAXIS. Like I said, I've been doing it all myself. Yeah, I may not be the best writer, but the you get the news fast and that's what matters. Anyway, over the past year, I've been waking up, updating the site, going out then coming home, updating the site, you get the drift.
It's taking over my life and as a sixteen year old, putting everything off just to update the site is unhealthy for me. I really need to stop worrying about coming home to update the site or this or that and putting other things off. I don't even get paid =\ (who doesn't like money?). Until we get more writers, SCRAWL is officially on hold. Feel free to browse the archives. I'm going outside.
We've uploaded a new VanillaBB forums system. It's simple and has many cool features. The current readers we have can discuss the latest in gaming and such there. Visit it here: http://scrawlfx.com/forums/ Perhaps when we come back, we will give it an updated look to match the site.
My e-mail is editor [at] scrawlfx [dot] com if you want to talk for any reason. Always happy to say hi.
Peter Hines, head honcho at Bethesda Softworks, has stated that Fallout 3's open-world gameplay is “organized chaos,” saying the player can do whatever they like, but can always easily go back into the game's main quest.
“It’s sort of like organized chaos,” he said at the Games Convention a couple of weeks ago.
“In order for the player to be able to go wherever they want, they have to know they can get back to whatever it is that they wanted to be doing, or were supposed to be doing, which for most folks is the main quest.
“By making sure they know where to go next to get into that they feel much more free say, ‘Yeah, I’m just going to go over here and see what this is,’ and they get sucked into that for an hour and it’s fun, and then they go back into where they were before.”

Bethesda Softworks' Peter Hines has stated that the PLAYSTATION 3 version of Fallout 3 will not have Trophy support when the game launches, but it is possible to come in a patch.
"Not at launch," said Hines, when asked if the game would have Trophy support.
"It remains to be seen what we do down the road. It wasn't something we were able to incorporate into the game for launch."
There are too many "sources" at Rockstar North. According to a source at Rockstar North, the downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV is scheduled to hit late November this year.
The exclusive content will be made up of at least two episodes around 10 hours in length, bringing along some extra unlockable Achievements as well.
We'll see if the source is telling the truth come this November.
The European PLAYSTATION Store update has hit for today, coming with some new add-ons for two PLAYSTATION 3-exclusives as well as an NHL 2K9 and Pure demo. View the content list below.
The official list of games that will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2008 this year has been revealed today. On it, SNK has King Of Fighters '98 - Ultimate Match for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
No other information was revealed, however. We'll have to wait until this October.
Sounds like someone wants to make fun of Peter Molyneux, who reviewed his own game, Fable II, a 9 out of 10. Ska Software is following in the Molyneux footsteps and reviewing their own game, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. However, don't scream out "Bias!" too quickly, as you can clearly tell of his honesty, or joke, or whatever he is doing.
He calls the game "a mess", saying that "the gameplay is basically broken", and that worst of all, "the protagonist doesn’t actually wash dishes". So why call it The Dishwasher?
To top that off, there are so many negative points, such as the "Blades of Chaos", "nudity", "a reasonably sized man-skirt", and "a boss the size of a large building that takes roughly forty-five minutes to beat, during which the hero must perform at least two dozen quick time events, transform twice, travel through time, and discover something important about himself".

Get ready for one hell of a LittleBigPlanet walkthrough. From the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle last weekend, Media Molecule demos their upcoming highly anticipated game. They start off with some Sackboy smacking, which is pretty funny, then go into level creation. This walkthrough is probably one of the most exciting videos yet. Talk about anticipation. The guys a Team Ninja have announced at a Tecmo press conference in Toyko yesterday that they are hard at work on three new titles currently in development. One of those new titles is expected to hit 2009.
What could these games be? We're hoping for some PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 love.
SOULCALIBUR IV certainly is fun to pick up and play. It features a full cast of characters as well as a couple of characters from the Star Wars series. In the PLAYSTATION 3 version (reviewed), we see Darth Vader, and in the Xbox 360 version, we see Yoda. Then we have The Apprentice in both games. That cast, along with some excellent gameplay, makes one hell of a fighting game. (more »)
