Bioshock for PLAYSTATION 3 Confirmed

PlayStation 3

That is right, Bioshock for the PLAYSTATION 3 is officially confirmed. PSM3 updated us today that their upcoming issue (on sale June 5, 2008) will feature a preview of the PLAYSTATION 3 version along with a bunch of first screenshots. For now, that is all we really have. But if you want something more to keep you excited, the cover description for the game says “Why Xbox’s best shooter is better on PS3″. We will update you when the issue hits stands.

Update: EGM will have the first screens actually on June 3, 2008. They say it does have some potential graphical improvements.

I’m in agreement with everyone else. If they do a good job with bringing it over and add some alluring (exclusive) features, then this is a must buy.

  2. If this is more than a port(meaning re-coded for the PS3 and exclusive content) then I’m definitely buying this game day one.

  3. I was the poster from the other day….

All I can say is “Yay a rental!”

Again, like another poster said a few days ago, sloppy seconds is not my idea of a good game coming to the PS3.

However, now that it’s been confirmed I won’t lie and say that I’m not a bit excited to see the game make its way to the PS3. I just hope that they don’t simply “port” the game over but actually add some new content, maybe sharpen up the already beautiful graphics or, and this would piss off the Xbots, find a way to add multiplayer.

Either way my curiosity is peaked to see how the game will look and play on the PS3. I just pray they don’t screw it up or there’s lock ups and stuff. Also, can we get a game that doesn’t require a 5GB install? Unless they can promise no load times EVER (did the 360 version have any) then I’m okay with the install. Otherwise it needs to run off of the Blu-ray disc.
