Custom Home Space for Buzz!
We are all waiting for Home. It’s been delayed more than once and had parts of it revamped. Some people have been upset with it, some people don’t care. The good news is that at least in the mean time while we are waiting they have people working towards making some neat spaces for specific games.
Here we have the case of Buzz! The space for Buzz! is created in a manor that it is styled like the game, which gives it a very unique and intriguing look. The other unique feature is that the space will include a Buzz! like setup where you can actually play trivia games in it. They plan on supporting up to 64 people at one time, which seems like a pretty hefty number all playing in a single game, but exciting and challenging at the same time.
In the end the strongest idea was “The Buzz” road show” this would be a cross between a TV studio and a music venue where Avatars could meet and chat or watch the games while others could participate and when knocked out, join the others back in the audience.
It would also have its own self contained leader boards so it can be played competitively at that. Spaces like these make Home worth looking forward to, especially in times when the whole idea of Home is in doubt. Once Sony can get these features out the door it will definitely be a great experience. Let us just hope it’s sooner than later. It’s interesting to note that in the picture of the space it has a build date of August 2007. That means that some spaces like these for games are done or at least far along. It just begs the question of when the public will actually be able to get their hands on it and when the open beta rolls around “later this year” if these spaces will be included from the get go. Only time will tell.

Who are you kidding? You cannot wait to play with those R/C boats. I’ve never seen such a closet case in all my life. LOL.
The BUZZ space does look interesting. If HOME is ever released I’ll most likely visit it.

The fact that this the screenshot is so dated gives me hope that Home will be more than a flash in the pan.
Actually, this Buzz space is VERY reminiscent of the 1 vs. 100 game show MS has planned for their avatar system.
Speaking of which, while the 360 avatars are cool I’m a little disappointed in MS this time in terms of marketing. There’s no name or unique identity for the avatars. They’re just called “avatars”. What happened in the MS marketing department? They’ve given a name and identity to just about everything 360 related but the avatars are just that.
Anyway, glad to see Home will be more than walking around and playing with R/C boats.
