We all know by now that Rock Band 2 is coming. They are upping the ante on their peripherals this time around, since the first set from Rock Band were not built the best. We recently ran an article that showed some details on the new game. Better guitars and better drumsets, who could want any more? Well if you are a die hard drum fan then you can opt for the limited edition drums, which not only look slick but also function as a real electronic drumset as well.

Now, this drumset is not for the faint of heart as it will set you back a solid $300. Might seem a bit pricey, but might be well worth it if you want to get a set that works with the game, but functions as a real drumset as well. Of course you could always just stick with the packaged drums that will come with the game just like the first game did, but this set is for those who want to do a bit more than just gaming. The drums are developed by engineers at Alesis, one of the largest manufacturers of professional electronic drums in the world. That should put some uneasy thoughts aside from anyone who has experienced “less than perfect” quality of drums from the first Rock Band.

The drumset should be definitely be of high quality this time around, so now comes the decision of do you personally need this or will you just stick with the packaged drums? Might as well make sure you have room to fit the set as well…
