Mass Effect Trilogy Exclusive to the Xbox 360 [Update]

Xbox 360

Speaking with Australian 360 at Electronic Arts’ European Showcase, BioWare’s Ray Muzyka stated:

“we said we were committed to supporting Mass Effect as a franchise and have the trilogy on the Xbox 360, and that’s still our goal”

Then he was asked whether the trilogy would stay exclusive to the Xbox 360.

“we’re always very ambitious in our goals and the most important thing is quality, so we’re never going to compromise that.”

So it seems that the Electronic Arts BioWare purchase will have no effect on the game’s exclusivity.

Update 7:21 PM: Speaking to Joystiq, a BioWare representative stated the above information as “incorrect,” noting that Muzyka has “never confirmed any plans of Mass Effect exclusivity for the trilogy.”

With Square Enix putting most of their RPGs on the 360 it would be nice if Sony were able to land the Mass Effect franchise.

I mean, if companies are so caught up on making more money then why aren’t more exclusive 360 games being ported to the PS3?
