Metal Gear Online GENE Expansion Pack Detailed

A new expansion pack for Metal Gear Online is going to be hitting on July 17, 2008. The expansion pack, titled GENE, will have loads of new features.

• The much awaited “Metal Gear Online Expansion” is now available. DO NOT miss this opportunity to become a part of the evolution that is MGO. Throw yourself onto new and unconquered Maps!! Make use of a whole new set of gimmicks and Characters. Why not try out the awesome new game mode “Survival”.
• At the same time, we will be opening the “Reward Shop” for business. Get you character some new gear by earning Reward Points in the game.
• But that’s not all. The “Metal Gear Online Expansion Plus” comes with all of the above plus 1 MGO Extra Character Slot. If you were looking to create another Character, then this is a great opportunity.

The upcoming expansion will also come with three new maps:

• Coppertown Conflict / City of Sorrow
Wide streets, underground passages, and rooftop areas. Suitable for close- to medium-range combat.
• Tomb of Tubes / Underground Waterway
An intricate labyrinth of underground passages. Suitable for close- to medium-range combat.
• Virtuous Vista / South America Power Station
An outdoor map with natural terrain. Suitable for medium- to long-range combat.

The update also comes with two new characters, Meryl and Johnny Akiba. And finally, a Survival Mode and Reward Shop are included as well. The Reward Shop lets you exchange Reward Points for new gear. The expansion also comes with one free character slot as well. Excited?

    The letter i wrote to konami!!

    I am writting this on behalf of thousands of angry South Africans.This is complaint that we cannot purchase extra characters slot & stuff from MGO shop….now with the up coming expansion pack “How are we going to get that?”

    We all going to return our MGS4 copy for full refund if this problem is not sorted.Not trying to funny but its frustrating if it says:error..if your country is listed below”You won’t be able purchase goods.

    I also think it will not look good for konami if we demanded our money back(few thousand complaints)> > What im about to ask u is no joke:I want Hideo Kojima himself to e-mail me mangelboy@hotmail.com about this problem.(its long shot..but anythings possible)…knowing Mr Kojima is a”Perfectionist”…why did he fail when it came to the online mode?Thought the world was equal when it comes to gaming (not just europe,usa & japan)

    Wake up! and bring us the goods to the PSN STORE!
