Team ICO Has Something “Really, Really Good on the Way”

In a new interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, new Sony Computer Entertainment head, Shuhei Yoshida, stated that Team ICO has smoething "really, really good on the way". He says this after giving us a brief history of their work.
“They are working on a title. I started the ICO project. Ueda-san joined my team in Japan as a cinematic animator, but he created a short movie and presented it to me and said, “I want to make this game.”
I said, “Yes, let’s do it, but you have never made a game. We have to have experienced people do it,” so it took a while, recruiting one person at a time. And because Fumito Ueda doesn’t compromise, we had to move the development from PSone to PlayStation 2. Then I couldn’t complete the game because I moved to the United States.
It took four years and the second game took four years too. So I started calling them the ‘Olympic Team.’ They haven’t released a PS3 title yet - of course not - they’ll take four years! But they have something really, really good on the way.”

Considering they haven’t done anything since Shadow they should have something ready in about a year (ed. note: Shadow of the Colossus was released in October 2005) we have a new title from Team ICO in our hands by next year or at least 2010.
But since Yoshida said they have something good on the way maybe it means they’re far enough ahead that we can expect to see something soon. My guess we won’t see anything until sometime next year. Maybe E3?
If Sony’s smart they’ll wait until E3 to show it off along with God of War III to really blow the crowd away with what I imagine will be two of the most beautiful games on the system.
id love a shadow of the colossus 2 :(
Shadow 2 would be nice but as much as I loved the first few battles of that game it got a little repetitive after a while.
Admittedly I haven’t finished it yet but starting from the same point every time is getting a little stale.
If they’re going to bring back a PS2 title they should definitely do Ico before they a Shadow remake.
Having said that, no matter what they come up with I’ll be in line with cash in hand.
