SCRAWL Detoks: Writing for the Masses
by Sal on Sep 5, 2008 9:12 pmFiled Under: Scrawl
Yeah, detoks isn't really a word, we know. SCRAWL Detoks is the name of our articles where we will update you on what is going on with the site regarding the break. I describe the word "detoks" as updates or the latest news on. Yeah, I got bored, so I made up a word. First off, we've gotten a few writer applications, with two of them I'm really looking in to.
We've also gotten an e-mail from a generous friend who is offering to help us with a much-needed site redesign. We have an early concept for when we reopen, but I'm not showing anything till we actually get it coded. You'll love it though, we know that.
If you're interested in being a writer, make sure you hit that "Write for SCRAWL" button on the sidebar.
Check back tomorrow for more SCRAWL Detoks.

I have to say that I was dumb-founded when I heard that Sal was only 16-yrs old. This site is a HUGE responsibility so bravo for doing what you’ve done so far. I can’t even remember what I was doing at 16 other than wrestling in high-school, trying to make honor role, getting laid and playing SNES (not exactly in that order).
If I weren’t so busy now (full-time job, earning bachelor’s, wife, 2 daughters, 2 cars, trying to buy a house and managing to sneak in some PS3 time) I’d write for this site for free. Maybe when I’m done with school in 2010 I’ll be able to offer something to this site other than my mindless rants (like this one).
I’ve been going to Kotaku more often and frankly it feels weird starting my day off with another site. Scrawl is one of my home pages but now I just close out the tab since there’s nothing new for a while. Now I have to revert to trying to find some decent PS3 news on sites like Gamespot and PSU.com. PSU isn’t that bad but Gamespot is kind of a joke.
Come back to us Sal. Soon!

Of all sites, why Kotaku? So many better sites that are not biased like they are…
