Aaron Greenberg: 360 Will Outsell PS3 This Holiday
Aaron Greenberg is all about the Xbox 360. September was the Xbox 360’s biggest month in the US, and sales have been moving along smoothly in Japan lately as well. Greenberg is sure that the Xbox 360 will continue to outsell the PlayStation 3.
“We expect to continue our price advantage over the PlayStation 3 for a long time,” Greenberg stated, pointing to the $199 price tag of the company’s entry level Arcade console, assuming that Sony would issue no pre-holiday price drops. “And we feel confident that we’ll outsell the PS3 this holiday season in North America and in Europe. We’ll do it on a global scale.”
Rather confident he is. Well, both consoles have a great holiday line-up, so we’ll have to see, Aaron.

I have to admit that he’s probably on track with that statement. On paper they really can’t worry. As he mentioned they have the cheapest console on the market based on the amount of features you get and with Fable II and Gears 2 on the way there’s no reason why they can’t perform the PS3.
With the economy where it is people will probably take a pass on upgrading to HDTV and if they do buy one they may have to hold off on the Blu-ray player since the combination of both can get pricey when you add an extra controller and a game or two.
Still, Sony will have LBP and R2 to ride high on so Greenberg shouldn’t underestimate those games as very big hits and very anticipated titles that will keep people glued to their PS3’s.
