PS3 Lead Platform for Skate 2 Due to Skate Criticism

PlayStation 3 Xbox 360

There were some problems on the PLAYSTATION 3 version of skate when it released last year. It was criticized for not being as good as the Xbox 360 version. Due to that, developer Black Box is now using the PLAYSTATION 3 as the lead for skate 2 to ensure quality on both versions.

“The PS3 has been our lead platform,” Black Box producer Jason DeLong confirmed.

DeLong said that this decision was due to “the PS3 version Skate not being as good as the 360 version,” adding that it “was something we learned very quickly that we had to remedy on the second one.”

When asked if there will be any differences between both versions, DeLong said “not so much.” They have “definitely been developing [both versions] in parity”.

Let’s hope to see no differences.
