Transformers 2 DLC Brings New Characters, Maps, More

Activision has announced today that Luxoflux has been hard at work developing downloadable content for the recently released movie-game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The downloadable content will launch later in the summer on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace, appealing to fans of both the original animated series of Transformers and fans of the film.

The downloadable content pack adds in over ten new multiplayer characters such as G1 Starscream and Sideswipe from the movie, three new multiplayer maps, new characters playable in both the Autobot and Decepticon single-player campaigns, an expert difficulty mode with a new set of leaderboards for hardcore players, and of course new achievements and trophies to earn.

There’s no set in stone release date for the content yet, just look out for it to appear later this summer.
