Eighteen new screenshots of Square Enix’s upcoming role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIII, have been released today. The new high-definition shots display a lot of Hope and Vanille, showing them in cut-scenes and in battle. They seem to have some sort of relationship with each other, although I’m not quite sure what it is.

So far my main problem with XIII is the character designs.
Lightning and Snow look cool but the others so far and now another annoying kid, VIII & XII had cool designs with characters, but with XIII I have seen better.
I understand the game isn’t out yet and we won’t know what there really like but at the moment the characters in XIII don’t look exciting apart from Lightning & Snow.
