Resonance of Fate to launch simultaneously in US/EU

Resonance of Fate, Sega and tri-Ace’s upcoming collaboration RPG, has been confirmed for a simultaneous release in both North America and Europe in 2010. Sega says the simultaneous release is so European consumers don’t feel like the game is old if it finally hit their shores a year later.
“America and Europe is the same release,” confirms SEGA Europe localisation producer Jun Yoshino. “Usually the European version comes a year after, let’s say the Japanese release. During the year, a lot of people are going to like, well this is old news now. We’re going to be losing a lot of interest if there is such a long time as a year. We’ve scheduled it in so we can get it out as quick as possible.”
Yoshino also mentioned that the team’s “working really hard†to shorten the gap between the Japanese release and the North American and European releases. The Japanese release is scheduled for later this year.

I’m not living in Europe (although, I am Italian =]), but I agree. That Tales of Vesperia European delay was way too long. By the time Europe received the game, the PlayStation 3 version was already announced.

Well done Tri-Ace. It annoys me to no end when games are delayed so much for their EU release. Why should we in Europe be treated any different to other people?
