This year’s Tokyo Game Show brought word that a new edition of Resident Evil 5 is on the way for Spring 2010. Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition as it’s being called, brings motion control with Sony’s PS3 wand to the game as well a new episode to be played via a flashback scene.

That new episode is actually Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine’s assault on Ozwell Spencer’s castle, which took place three years before the events of Resident Evil 5. The new mission will bring two hours of new gameplay, supporting single-player and cooperative play.

As of now, Resident Evil: Alternative Edition has only been confirmed for PlayStation 3. As for Xbox 360, Capcom has said that Jill could show up as downloadable content, but have not confirmed anything. As for now, check out the first screens.

    Those T & A looks wonderfull…

  2. The flashback scene to the mansion was excellent and I’ve always wanted to play that part.

I’m not sold on the motion sensing as of yet though…but still, I think I’ll probably pick this up as an RE fan.
