Xbox 360

United Kingdom residents will get a little something extra with their version of the Xbox 360 fall dashboard update. Alongside the cool new features such as Facebook and twitter, Sky also arrives. That means on demand television at your control. Sexy, I know.

Sky can be seen being put to full use in this new video.

  1. We wont get this just like we dont have PlayTV for the PSN. The cable infrastructure and setup isnt there for these apps. We are farther behind in digital and HD cable than countries like the UK so basically, not gonna happen.

These are better features imo though than facebook and twitter integration which I personally find useless.

Forsure! I have NO need for Facebook ( reminds me of a web site for mug shots! ),Twitter,or last fm, (Youtube rules as for music IMHO ) and won’t use these new XBL features. Access for “Myspace” would have been nice, but I hardly use it.It would be nice to have a Web browser on XBL like PSN has.but thats Microsoft for ya!

I spent 14 years with a cable co. that was the only game in the county,Now verizon is working on installing there FIOS system and I switched to them a year ago and must say I like them a whole lot better and there cheaper too!

What a cool idea ,I like it. I hope they can add it to the USA severs. Lets hope that SKY is just the start of the XBL future.
