I think that in truth, there are very few people who would actually prefer to buy digital over a physical disc. I like to have a collection of games, going back decades, in my house, and going digital would take away that 'collecting' feel. Not to mention the obvious problems with the pricining, DRM etc etc.

I do think there is a market for games on demand, but I don't think it will take off in a huge way for a long time yet.

Honestly, it's useless to me. Most of the games they release on Xbox LIVE can be purchased used at a retailer for 50% or more less than they sell it on demand.

I prefer having a disc, as well.

Is this Games on Demand thing working? I'd like to see MS release some numbers on how many sales they're getting as opposed to Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy.

I'm old school and prefer to have my 50GB games (see Uncharted 2 and probably God of War III, GT5 and many other upcoming Sony exclusives) on a disc rather than eat up valuable HD space for a single title praying that it never crashes forcing me to sit through 4 hours of downloading while simultaneously hoping that my connection stays stable enough that I don't have to repeat the download after getting 95% through.
