2K Games has announced that a Special Edition will arrive alongside the regular retail box of BioShock 2 come the game’s launch in February.

The Special Edition is in limited supply and adds a 164-page hardcover artbook, a 180g vinyl LP of the first BioShock’s orchestral score, a CD with BioShock 2’s orchestral score, and three “vintage Rapture advertisement posters”. Don’t forget the actual copy of the game, as well.

The Special Edition will go for $100 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and $90 for PC. BioShock 2 launches on February 9, 2010 for the aforementioned platforms. A high-res image of the special edition can be seen at the gallery.

Thanks, Shack.

  1. The Vinyl is a fantastic idea imo, and fits in well with the series’ setting. I’d have to dust off the old record player though! lol
