Would you look at this? What a nice surprise for a Monday. Splash Damage is showing off the first good gameplay footage of Brink, their upcoming shooter to be published by Bethesda.
The video shows little, but the CEO and Game Director Paul Wedgewood gives us a lot of new information on the game. the SMART movement system is shown off in an abandoned airport and the various character types are displayed on screen.
The game also received a small delay from its original Spring 2010 release date to Fall 2010. It looks like it’ll be worth the wait.

I think they’re playing up this SMART movement technology a bit too much. Sure it’s cool but they talk about it like they invented the wheel.
The whole time I was watching it all I could think of was Mirror’s Edge which had a similar style of movement based on where the camera was pointed.
Still, the game looks interesting if for no other reason than the unique character models.
