Just Cause 2 announced for March 2010 launch

Just Cause 2 has added itself to the list of quality games to be released in March, alongside the likes of God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII, come 2010. Just what day, exactly? If you’re in North America, you can get your hands on the game on March 23 while Europe gets it on March 26.

Secret agent Rico Rodriguez is on another island in the sequel, parachuting in for his entrance. He’s looking for Tom Sheldon, his former boss who’s retired and has a lot of money and information to his name.

“Just Cause 2 offers the freedom to explore and tackle the world in any way you choose”, said Lee Singleton, General Manager of Square Enix London Studios. “The grapple and the parachute mechanic will change the way you play open-world games, allowing players to be in the air in seconds, tackling missions from above and using the aerial advantage. If you prefer to stay on solid ground, the choices offered by the grapple are limited only by your imagination.”
