Michelle Franklin Interview: Four PS3 Games, new WRPG

Michelle Franklin, who’s LinkedIn profile showed four unannounced PS3 games in the works back in October, sat down for a chat with us about those games and about games she was working on at the time. Back then, there were four, but now she’s only working on one unnamed project. The reason being is that we’re in the gaming industry, and all games start off as concepts and not all concepts get to brag about turning into a full-fledged project.
Franklin’s current project is a western RPG that is starting off as a PlayStation 3 concept, but she says she has no idea whether or not the game will go multiplatform. She couldn’t talk much about her current project, which we understood. So we went ahead and pressed her on the four PlayStation 3 games her profile once listed.
She touched on the Ninja JRPG that she was working on, which was unfortunately just a concept. “That was a design concept for an RPG,” Franklin told me, “about a Kunoichi and I think it’s staying that way for now.”
A zombie survival horror game was also once listed. Franklin told us it was actually a concept she created. “It’s a game I was working on for the AGI – Artsy Games Incubator. It’s still only a concept.” She gave us a briefing on the game’s story. “The story takes place in Suffragette Times,” she told us, “Women get the vote and the world erupts in blight. I thought this was hilarious.” Take in mind Franklin warned us of her strange sense of humor beforehand.
Franklin told us she has no idea whether or not the game will leave its conceptual status and envelop into a project. When asked, she told me, “I hope so. But I don’t know if many people have the same dark sense of humor. Too many may find it out of place.”
Regarding the other two titles, “Key of Solomon, I don’t know. The concept was finished. Sir Gawain, the design is finished. And that’s about all I can say in terms of production.” She couldn’t say too much about Solomon, though.
On Sir Gawain and the Green Knight she said, “I can say the design follows very closely not only the story of Sir Gawain but also the history of Albion. I did months and months of research into the kingdoms of the time just to make the map as correct as possible.”

Do want the Ninja JRPG(as long as its ARPG), zombie survival game, and maybe the green night one because it sounds interesting. Too bad these games are 2-3 years off.
