Square Enix working on “first global game” alongside Eidos Montreal

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal are hard at work on their first collaborative effort, said to be the company’s ‘first global game’. The game is a brand new title from the Montreal studio that’s not their previously announced Deus Ex 3 or Thief 4.

Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada told Develop that the new title would be the first collaboration between Square Enix and Montreal,” and that they “would like to be able to create an new title that is made by the group as one.”

Details are scarce at the moment. There’s been no mention of whether or not they’re using an existing IP or creating an entirely new game.
