Xbox 360 Facebook and Twitter update hits November 17

Back in October, the official United Kingdom Xbox website went up with a page saying Xbox 360’s next dashboard update, including Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm, would go live on November 17. That page was since taken down. Today, though, we can confirm that the update will indeed go live on Tuesday, November 17.

Xbox LIVE general manager, Marc Whitten, has confirmed the date.

“We look at things like Facebook and Twitter as amazing social experiences, but also entertainment,” said Whitten. “We didn’t want to copy and paste from the PC.

“It’s going to be great for current users, but it’s also great for new users who can see who is on Facebook and get their first 30 friends on Live.”
