Final Fantasy XIV beta sign-ups begin

Today, which happens to be the same day Final Fantasy XIII launches in Japan (it’s December 17th there), Square Enix has launched sign-ups to become a beta tester for their next MMORPG: Final Fantasy XIV.

To qualify, you must be at least eighteen, have a Square Enix online ID, have a fast internet connection, and a good PC. Yes, unfortunately, this beta is for the PC version only. However, in the fine print of the sign-ups, Square says that “Details regarding recruitment for the PlayStation 3 version will be released at a later date.”

We’ve included the link to sign-up for the PC version in all the regions below, however.
