Mass Effect 2 Collector’s Edition pictured

Whilst the contents of the Mass Effect 2 Collector’s Edition was revealed quite a while ago, we’ve never seen the full package standing out in the flesh before. No longer will that be fact, though, as Electronic Arts has released an image showing us everything we’ll get with the Collector’s Edition.

The Collector’s Edition will include the following (refer here).

  • N7-branded tin case.
  • A copy of Mass Effect 2.
  • A 48-page hardcover artbook titled Art of Mass Effect 2.
  • The first issue of the Mass Effect Redemption comic.
  • A bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes and making-of videos and featurettes.
  • “Unique in-game weapons and armor that can only be obtained by purchasing this version.”

    I’m all about the art book. I only wish it was full sized and not postcard-size.

    It’s packages like this that I’ll miss once everything goes all digital. Sure we might get some behind-the-scenes videos and such but care and effort put into producing high quality printed materials like this will probably go away.
