Nomura: “No difference between CGI and real-time graphics” in Final Fantasy Versus XIII

PlayStation 3

During an interview with Famitsu, Final Fantasy Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura told the magazine that there would be “no difference between CGI and real-time graphics” when playing the upcoming PlayStation 3 role-playing game.

Nomura’s confirmed that the game’s visuals have been upgraded from what we’ve previously seen and that there will be no real difference between CGI and the graphics you see while actually playing Versus XIII. He also once again restates that more information regarding Versus XIII and Agito XIII is to come early 2010.

Fans of Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VIII can rejoice, as well, as Nomura has confirmed a dark story in this one.

Nomura also confirmed earlier today that he’s working on two new projects, as well — one of which we’re hoping is Kingdom Hearts 3.

Thanks, PS3Center.

I just want awesome gameplay and story. So far of the characters I like is Stella and Noctis.
I hope the secret movie in bbs is KH3.

  2. Versus 13 looks so incredibly cool. Please show us some in-game footage!

  3. If the CGI in game in anything like the trailers and whatnot we have seen than I dont buy that statement at all.

  4. From the look I kinda assumed this story was going to be different from the previous few. I am excited to see where this game goes!

and I certainly hoping for a KH3 in the making D:
