Ubisoft announces Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

PlayStation 3 Xbox 360

Update: It’s coming to PS3, as well. Same time, same developer. More here.

Original: Ubisoft’s announced the latest entry in the Ghost Recon series this morning. That “BIG” announcement they’ve been teasing is in fact Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, in development at Ubisoft’s Paris studio for a holiday 2010 release.

Future Solider promises to bring players “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.” On top of that, the latest Ghost Recon will deliver a new gameplay experience with “an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.” Sounds exciting.

Those who purchase Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360 will gain access to the multiplayer beta for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, happening this summer.

Ubisoft Community Developer Kimi Matsuzaki says that a video of the game should be hitting Xbox LIVE any minute.

So far, the game is only confirmed for Xbox 360. I think it’s safe to assume this will be a PS3, 360, PC release, though.

  1. Great! I loved GRAW 2 and have been wanting to see more from the GR sereis ever since. It’s weird as its not usually the sort of franchise I would like so much, but I have always enjoyed the GR games.

Ill check XBL in a bit to see if I can find this rumored video!
