Crystal Dynamics is working on a brand new Tomb Raider game. This one, however, is different from others. Very different.

Unlike past games, the downloadable Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light brings Lara into a cooperative world with an over-the-top camera. Totec helps Lara solve the many puzzles in the game and can be played with by a friend if you so desire. Of course, you can play solo, as well.

We have the first few screens, courtesy of GameSpot. Check out the screenshots at the gallery.

    Uh, I don’t get it.

I didn’t quite grasp the Square Enix collaboration with Disney but it was probably one of the best collaborations in gaming history. But this, this just doesn’t make any sense.

I don’t mind when games stray from the creative molds they were born in but this doesn’t seem to fit or compliment the Tomb Raider legacy at all. Might as well team up Yoshi and Sam Fisher.

  2. I think it looks interesting but I am in no way a fan of Digital Download. I hope the games comes out on a disc as well.

  3. I’m not a fan of digital download only either…..

  4. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Tomb Raider Underworld (except for the spiders, you know us arachnophobes). But I’M 100% NOT INTO THIS….
