Valkyria Chronicles. What can be said about this title? Its already released in Japan and even getting DLC already in August, yet we are still waiting for it in English territories. It should be out later this year and it will be worth the wait. It is a tactical role playing game developed by Sega exclusively for the PS3. It features a unique turn based battle system called BLiTZ (Battle of Live Tactical Zones) and has a unique graphical appearance thanks to Sega's new "CANVAS" engine. It gives the game a watercolor meets sketchy pencil feel and looks beautiful in action.
One interesting detail coming from the Sony keynote came during the PSP section. Through this section they announced the brand new Resistance game, but also showed a screen of Valkyria Chronicles on the PSP. They did not really say anything about the game, but a picture speaks a thousand words. Right? I hope so. There is no word on its development or when it would be released, but it appears that the PSP will get some love as well. More details to come when they are released. (more »)
