A recent job listing posted by Media Molecule, developers of the critically-acclaimed LittleBigPlanet, confirms that the studio is working on a brand new PlayStation 3 game.

According to the listing, the team is looking for a gameplay programmer to work on a "ground-breaking, AAA, PS3 title for Sony Computer Entertainment".

The team over at Media Molecule are excited for summer. This weekend marks the summer solstice and in celebration, Mm is releasing a free LittleBigPlanet costume on the PlayStation Store.

Dubbed the "Druid" costume, this represents the Druids whom in ancient times regarded the Sun to be at its highest power during the summer solstice.

Media Molecule have began teasing two new costume add-ons for your Sackboy in LittleBigPlanet. Coincidentally, they're costumes from the PS2 cult classic, ICO.

Isn't it odd that this teaser comes only in so little time after the "Project Trico" teaser was leaked? Stay tuned.

Judge Dredd is coming to LittleBigPlanet. In a picture that speaks an announcement, Media Molecule have announced that May 28th will bring new stickers and costumes of Judge Dredd, from the 2000 AD comic world, to the land of Sackboys that is LittleBigPlanet.

Sony Computer Entertainment is adding more characters to its arsenal of LittleBigPlanet costums with these upcoming Patapon costumes in promotion of the PSP sequel, Patapon 2.

No release date for these costumes yet, but it's on the horizon.

The Lunar New Year is upon us, officially beginning yesterday, and in celebration the team at Media Molecule is releasing matching Sackboy and Sackgirl Chinese New Year Costumes on the PlayStation Store for free.

However, the costume will only be available for the next ten days, so download it fast.

Chinese New Year Costume for LBP [LittleBigWorkshop]

Sony Computer Entertainment has just been patched this Sunday night. Patch version 1.08, nicknamed Edam by Media Molecule, is live and available for download. Media Molecule have yet to confirm that this is actually Edam, but the outline fixes for this update can be seen at the jump.

Lionhead Studios head honcho, Peter Molyneux, really hearts his LittleBigPlanet. He says Media Molecule's creation is "the most important creative innovation of the last twelve months."

He says that “LittleBigPlanet has outstanding creative vision. It’s from a British start-up studio and is one of the defining titles on Japan’s Sony PS3.”

SCEA have officially annoucned the Metal Gear Solid packs for LittleBigPlanet hitting the PlayStation Store on December 23, 2008.

The Metal Gear Solid Premium Costume Pack will be priced at $5.99 and will contain Solid Snake, Meryl Silverburgh, Screaming Mantis & Raiden as Sackboy costumes.

Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet has been updated to v1.07 today bringing changes to level moderation as well as an in-game store for buying LittleBigPlanet add-ons. The update also brings along easier ways to search for user-created levels. Fire up your game to update now.

The official Japanese PlayStation site has gotten up the first screenshots of the Metal Gear Solid LittleBigPlanet level pack. It comes with new trophies, a paintball gun called THE PAINTINATOR, and a crapload of new stuff. Hit the jump for your breakdown.

The Japanese LittleBigPlanet site has already been updated with the latest Sackboy we're set to receive. The Sackboy is wearing a Christmas tree on his head with a glowing star at the top (so shiny). He'll be landing the United States and Europe on December 18th, 2008.

Along with the Street Fighter Sackboys, SCEA is releasing another treat on the PlayStation Store this Thursday. That treat is no one other than Kris Kringle himself, or Santa Claus. However, tomorrow, the suit will be released without the hat and beard, then on the following week 12/18/08, you'll get the full suit pictured above.

Remember when we told you about those upcoming Street Fighter-themed Sackboys coming to LittleBigPlanet? Well, Sony has just made it official. During Thursday's PlayStation Store update, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile and Zangie will make their way onto the Store as downloadable Sackboys for $1.99 each or $5.99 for the Street Fighter Costume Pack.

No more of that Gradius and Tetris, this one's official. Q Entertainment have announced that Lumines Supernova will feature a LittleBigPlanet-themed skin when it releases "very soon". The game will also feature more skins, HD graphics, and all new "Dig Down" mode, and more. Hit the jump for some gameplay.

It is true. We don't know particularly when these Street Fighter characters will arrive on the PlayStation Store as playable Sackboys in LittleBigPlanet, but they are coming. As you can see, you can buy each character individually or in a pack including Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li, and Zangief. Oh, we await the day.

A user-created level in LittleBigPlanet shows Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter throwing hadouken out at each other until there is one final victor. Who is the victor however? All we could tell you is watch.

SCEA is having a new LittleBigChallenge for LittleBigPlanet in celebration of the PlayStation 3's second anniversary. The winners will get an awesome in-game prize, the LittleBigPlanet Prize Crown.

This week, Sony will be releasing more LittleBigPlanet priced content as well as a free costume contest winner costume as well. The costume contest winner called "Sack-in-the-Box" where we see Sackboy in a TV set. The final in-game costume is a bit bad compared to the magnificent original sketch, however. This week on the PlayStation Store Thursday update, we will get seven new costumes for LittleBigPlanet. The most notable content in the upcoming DLC would have to be the MotorStormer, from SCE's Motorstorm and the Sack-Eating Plant, which is a winner of the costume contest and is being sold free. The official Japanese LittleBigPlanet website shows what's coming up on the downloadables for the game. Japan's getting five Sackboy costumes this week, our favorite being the Toro costume. Too bad it will never hit the west. I wonder what the US will be receiving this week.

Alex Evans has already confirmed that the image import tool for LittleBigPlanet will not be patched into the game before Christmas. However, a new image upload on Media Molecule's flickr account may show otherwise, as it shows an image of the game with the Image Import Tool option.

Okay, so Sackolantern and Spacesack aren't the real names for the free LittleBigPlanet downloadable costumes coming next week. It's really the Halloween Mask and Space Suit. The two DLC will be released on November 6th and be up for a limited time until November 19th. That's just the first bit of DLC though.

Those who got LittleBigPlanet early, such as my friend Matt who's had it for nearly two weeks, were unable to access the online servers in the game. However, as of now, the LittleBigPlanet servers are now online, meaning you can upload your creations and download the creations of others. Even better news: the beta levels are (more »)

Speaking with BBC News, Media Molecule has today confirmed that a sequel to LittleBigPlanet, releasing tomorrow, is already in development.

Media Molecule has even said that, along with Sony, they are in talks to create spin-offs for the series to turn LittleBigPlanet into a comic, cartoon, and even release actions figures of the Sackboys.
