Sony Computer Entertainment America and Naughty Dog have tossed out just about five new screenshots of their upcoming sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The second game in the franchise is set to feature diverse locations such as an urban city and snowy land. This time around, you'll also see multiplayer.

ModNation Racers was one of the new Sony games at E3. The PlayStation 3 title is utilizing kart racing customization in the "Play, Create, and Share" genre. James Grieve, Technical Director for the game, sits down and demonstrates the kart racer in this new video.

While they couldn't confirm the leaked feature set of firmware v3.0 as being correct (the one that Sony said was "wild speculation"), a source at TheSixthAxis has told them that a firmware version v2.90.

A recent rumor from a source of VG247, who seem pretty confident that their source is correct, has been called out by Sony Computer Entertainment. The rumor mentions supposed information about the PlayStation 3 firmware v3.0 update, saying it's a "major overhaul" similar to the NXE "in some repsects." According to a source of VG247, PlayStation 3 firmware v3.0 is set to bring a "completely new system" to the console, with a pre-Christmas release in mind boasting some major feature updates.
