The latest issue of Famitsu magazine reveals that Sega has already began development on the next Yakuza game. This comes as no surprise as Yakuza 3 launched as a big succcess in Japan, selling over 300,000 copies the first week.

The latest Japanese sales charts released today show Yakuza 3 approaching the 500,000 unit mark, however, Sega has announced that the game has already passed that amount in units shipped.

Yakuza 3 is a Japanese action game, graded very positively by the Japanese press. The game features tie-ins with 27 real companies, including a tanning salon. You get (more »)

Sega released their PlayStation 3 exclusive, Yakuza 3, in Japan on February 26th. Game designer Toshihiro Nagoshi shares the game's current sales with us.

Yakuza 3, recently reviewed by Famitsu and given an excellent 38/40, will last roughly thirty hours long according to the magazine. However, that thirty hours is only for the story line; not counting the side activities such as karaoke, golfing, tanning, and all that other fun bonus stuff the game is packing.

I'm quite excited, I've been eying this game for a while. Tomorrow on the Japanese PlayStation Store, Sega will release a demo for their upcoming sequel, Yakuza 3. The demo will weigh in at 1.22 gigs and be full of ass-kickin' action.

The latest issue of Famitsu gaming magazine in Japan is reporting that Yakuza 3 will feature a mandatory 5120 MB installation (around 5GB) joining games such as Devil May Cry 4 and Hot Shots Golf 5. Luckily, Japan will have a lot of space on their PlayStation 3s with the new Final Fantasy VII bundle releasing soon.

Sega's Yakuza 3 is easily one of the best-looking upcoming titles on the PlayStation 3 this year, however, after teasing audiences with the newly released screenshots, VG247 decided to ask Sega whether or not this gem would be flying westward.

Sega Japan have released a few brand new screenshots of their upcoming Yakuza 3 in Japan. In the screenshots, we see outer-Tokyo as well as an inner-Tokyo store. You see all the Japanese novelty? Sega have released the first images of the special edition PlayStation 3 Yakuza 3 bundle. Officially titled the Rising Dragon Pack, this bundle comes with a white 80GB PlayStation 3 with dragons imprinted on it, a copy of Yakuza 3, and all your other common accessories.

Looks like Sega's upcoming Yakuza 3 will be filled with mini-games. These brand new Famitsu scans show golf, pool, and even fishing. Along with the mini-games the scans show what appears to be a mall (on the first page). Hit the jump for the scans.

Straight off the heels of Yakuza 3's Japanese release date, Sega has released a brand new eleven minute video showing off the gangster goodness of Yakuza 3. The game looks freakin' awesome, we must say. We can only await for a US release date.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan have started a campaign across Japan. Any customer who purchases a PlayStation 3 will receive a welcome disc. There are two different colors for the disc, one red and one white. The red disc contains family-friendly demo and trailes while the white disc contains more mature titles.

Boy, does Yakuza 3 look great. There are a whole batch of titles to look forward to in 2009, and this seems to be one of the greats to look out for. This new Japanese ad shows us the graphical enhancements of Yakuza 3 as well as a glimpse of strip-action in the title. Keep your eye on this (more »)

It's not hard to admit, Sega's upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive, Yakuza 3 looks freakin' awesome. Maybe I'm just a sucker for games taking place in Japan, though, since I've never been there and am dying to. But I must say this new 20-minute video presentation tells us otherwise. Sega have released sixteen brand new screenshots of their upcoming Yakuza 3 for the PLAYSTATION 3. Unlike Kenzan, this game picks up from Yakuza 2 and continues the story, rather than go back in time. The shots are looking great, view them at the jump.

SEGA have announced their game line-up for this year's Tokyo Game Show taking place October 9th through October 12th. Their line-up includes the recently announced Yakuza 3 for the PLAYSTATION 3, which should be playable, as well as the upcoming Bayonetta, Sonic Unleashed, and more.

No, no, this is not a US announcement of Yakuza: Kenzan!. This is the announcement of Yakuza 3, which we've all thought Kenzan was. Turns out they didn't use the number "3" in Kenzan because it wasn't a sequel to Yakuza 2.
